Terms of Use for the SavePantry Application

These Terms of Use define the rules and conditions for accessing and using the mobile application SavePantry, published by Sauve_Pantry.org, hereinafter referred to as "the Publisher".

By using the application, you fully and unreservedly accept these Terms of Use.

1. Purpose of the Application

SavePantry is a mobile application designed to help users manage their pantry, plan meals, and reduce food waste.

The app allows users to:

• Add and manage food products with their expiration dates;
• Scan barcodes to retrieve product information;
• Create and share shopping lists;
• Receive notifications for reminders and expiration dates;
• Access recipe information from external databases.

2. Access to the Application

Access to SavePantry is free of charge, provided that the user has an internet connection and a compatible device.

Certain features may require:

• Creating a user account (email address and password, or Google Sign-In);
• Accepting system permissions (camera, notifications, storage).

The user is solely responsible for the proper functioning of their device and their internet access.

3. Account Creation and Security

When creating an account, the user agrees to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information;
• Not impersonate any other person;
• Keep their password confidential;
• Immediately notify the Publisher of any unauthorized use of their account.

The Publisher cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the fraudulent use of an account.

4. Google Sign-In

SavePantry allows users to create and access their account using the Google Sign-In authentication system. When logging in with Google, the application receives basic profile information such as the user’s name, email address, and profile picture, as authorized by Google.

This data is used exclusively to create and manage the user’s SavePantry account and to enable synchronization of their personal data across devices.

SavePantry does not access any other personal information from the user’s Google account. The user may revoke SavePantry’s access to their Google account at any time through their Google Account settings.

By using Google Sign-In, the user also agrees to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

5. Personal Data

Data collected via SavePantry (identifiers, preferences, photos, product history, etc.) are processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, accessible at any time from the application or via the link above.

This data is used solely to ensure the proper functioning of the app, improve its services, and, where applicable, display notifications related to products or expiration dates.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each user has the right to access, correct, object to, and delete their personal data.

6. Intellectual Property

All elements that make up the application (code, interfaces, logos, illustrations, text, databases, etc.) are the exclusive property of the Publisher or its partners.

Any reproduction, distribution, or modification without prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.

7. Proper Use

The user agrees to:

• Use the app only for its intended purpose;
• Not use SavePantry for unauthorized commercial purposes;
• Not introduce any viruses, malicious code, or attempt to hack the servers;
• Comply with all applicable laws.

In case of violation, the Publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete an account without notice.

8. Content Sharing Between Users

When a user shares a list or content with other users:

• They remain solely responsible for the shared content;
• They guarantee that no confidential, inaccurate, or illegal information will be shared;
• They acknowledge that authorized users may modify or delete the shared content based on the permissions defined.

9. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

SavePantry may offer optional premium features or additional services through in-app purchases or subscriptions. These purchases are processed securely via the official Google Play Billing system.

Before confirming any payment, users will always see the price, duration, and renewal terms of the selected plan directly within the Play Store interface. Once confirmed, the payment will be charged to the user’s Google account.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Users can manage or cancel their subscription at any time through their Google Play account settings.

All payments and renewals are handled by Google. The Publisher does not store or process any payment data.

No refunds will be issued once a billing cycle has started, except as required by applicable consumer protection laws or Google Play refund policies.

10. Liability

The Publisher makes every effort to ensure the proper functioning of SavePantry but:

• Does not guarantee the absence of errors, interruptions, or failures;
• Cannot be held liable for data loss, display errors, or incomplete information;
• Does not guarantee the accuracy of information obtained from external sources (e.g., public databases).

The use of SavePantry is the sole responsibility of the user.

11. Modifications and Updates

The Publisher reserves the right to modify the content or features of the application and these Terms of Use at any time.

Users will be informed of significant changes through a notification or during an app update.

12. Account Deletion

The user may delete their account at any time from the app settings.

Deletion results in the permanent removal of all associated data, subject to legal retention obligations.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by Belgian law. In case of dispute, the competent courts will be those of the Charleroi district, unless otherwise provided by law.
